From the 18th to the 22nd of September, the KU Leuven International Office, together with LOKO International and the student associations, organizes the Orientation Days for new international students.
Additionally, the Faculty of Engineering Science and VTK have created a Welcome Weekend from the 22nd till 24th September for our new international engineering science and architecture students. Here are all the activities from that weekend. Registration is possible on the info fair, the information session and the picknick but also on the link down below. Payment for the activities that require a small fee needs to be done beforehand and is possible at the info fair, the Pub Evening and during the activities on Friday and the picknick on Saturday.
Friday September 22nd
Information Session, Picknick, and Campus Challenge
What time? 11h00 - 17h00
Where? Auditorium K 00.006, Celestijnenlaan 200 K, 3001 Heverlee
What? Today, we are giving you some essential information about the faculty of Engineering Science, its related students' association VTK, the campus, and other practical things. Come to our information session and get answers to all of your questions. After the information session, we’ll challenge you with our new campus game which will allow you to discover the campus in a fun way. The winners will go home with great prizes! In between these two activities, we will provide sandwiches and the best thing is that these will be for free!

Saturday September 23rd
What time? 12h00 - 14h00
Where? Grass field in front of Arenberg Castle
What? What better way to get to know each other than by small talking over lunch? Just bring along your own lunch box. We will provide drinks. We will also make sure your sweet tooth will be satisfied at the end of the picnic!
What time? 20h00 - 00h00
Where? Waaiberg, Tervuursevest 60, Leuven (same entrance as 't ElixIr)
What?It is common knowledge that friendships are forged when alcohol is consumed. So that's why we organize a cantus Saturday evening.
For those who don't know the concept, Wikipedia does a pretty good job in explaining this intriguing phenomen. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cantus) Although it might sound weird, don't be mistaken: it is so much fun and you should give it a try!
For those that have had the pleasure already to have experienced a cantus, I hope you add this cantus to your list.
Note: Io Vivat at 20:30. This means the doors will close at 20:30 and that if you are not in the building by that time that you won't be able to participate.

What time? 19h00-22h00
Where? Courtyard of the Castle, Arenberg park, Heverlee Let’s finish our amazing week in style: all together and ready to really start the academic year! We are grillin’ some meat and cutting some vegetables. This with a refreshing beer and great company! Come to our barbecue and enjoy your Sunday night before going to the Opening night in our very own fakbar, ‘t ElixIr.
