JUNIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER

NI Leuven designs power conversion systems for automated test and measurement applications in the electric vehicle market. These systems consist of state of the art modular hardware and software products and are constantly evolving as new requirements arise. They include power electronic actuators and sensors, FPGA and CPU-based real-time computing and networking, and model-based engineering toolchains and control applications.

As a Software Engineer, you will join a diverse, multi-disciplinary, agile team. This job position is intended for recent graduates that want to grow in this role.

Your responsibilities • Write device drivers and management software for Linux based systems • Debug, fine tune and optimize the software • Write documentation, tooling, tests, and packaging for your software products • Deploy and verify the software and firmware on hardware prototypes

Wanted Profile

• Master in Embedded Systems, Software Engineering or equivalent • Proficient programmer in C and Python, Experienced Linux user. • Experience with kernel, device drivers, configuration, etc.. is an asset. • Able to write clean, maintainable code and related test, documentation and packaging • Eager to learn and to continuously improve your skills, also in adjacent domains like hardware
