Software Project Manager

Hardware and software are designed and developed at the Camco headquarters in Haasrode (Leuven). With numerous container transfer points at the container terminal gates, in the terminal yard or at the quay cranes, keeping track of container and truck flow is essential for terminal operations organization. The Camco hardware and software systems capture and process all container data throughout the shipping process feeding the terminal operating system.

Wanted Profile

Responsibilities

  • As a Software Project Manager, you are responsible for software projects from kick-off to full implementation, including commissioning and follow-up:
  • Regular meetings with (IT/technical) customers to gather customer requirements, discuss progress, coordinate activities, recommend actions.
  • Develop software project descriptions.
  • Design implementation plans, and follow up.
  • Design testing plan.
  • Coordinate project software developers in accordance with project team leads.
  • Design and execution of acceptance protocols.
  • Report to software project team manager.
  • You continuously strive to deliver excellent customer services.
  • You are prepared to travel abroad regularly (up to 20% of the time): Our clients are located in Europe, Australia, Middle-East, North & South America, South-Africa Profile
  • Excellent knowledge of Dutch and English, business knowledge of French, German, Spanish or Mandarine is a plus
  • Minimum of 3 year working experience in software project management.
  • Good at planning your own work and that of other project participants. Systematic and good in setting priorities.
  • Excellent team player who takes initiative and brings projects to a good end.
  • Excellent communicator, diplomatic, result-driven, strategic insight.
  • Keeping a helicopter view and strategic insights help you to excel as a project manager.
