Technical Writer

The Technical Writer creates and maintains the customer facing and service facing technical documentation for existing and new products, i.e. 3D metal printers and auxiliary products. The Technical Writer reports to the R&D Project Management Manager.

Responsibilities: • Developing new user and service facing documentation that meets organizational standards • Obtaining a deep understanding of products and services to translate complex information into simple, polished, and engaging content that meets the needs of the target audience • Editing and reviewing together with subject matter experts updates to existing documentation • Initiating and follow-up review and sign-off of new or updated technical documentation by all relevant departments • Working together with different departments on the alignment of the technical documentation content • Publishing new and updated technical documentation on relevant platforms • Suggesting and evaluating improvements for more efficient review and publication of documentation • Working with development and supporting leads to identify all documentation repositories, revise and edit, and determine the best solution for data compilation and centralized storage • Taking initiative to identify and evaluate new methods for more efficient execution of daily work

Wanted Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant technical field • Minimally 4 years’ industry experience as an effective technical writer • Long and wide experience in writing documentation and procedural materials for multiple audiences • Proven ability to quickly learn and understand complex topics • Superior written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail • Experience working with engineering to improve user experience • Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, with an eye for prioritization • Feels comfortable working independently
